Orlando Casaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guerrero Onterino got free with Thiago Pliego in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gomez Urrea. Gomez Urrea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Xavier Figueroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gomez Urrea having to make a save. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Xavier Figueroa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gomez Urrea. That made the score 1-2 in the 52 minute of play. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arvo Joa in the 54th minute of play. With a little luck, Porvenir's Gomez Urrea got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Porvenir's Gomez Urrea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Porvenir from getting a goal against them. Gomez Urrea made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Orlando Casaus sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Hector Santiago sped through Chile's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Porvenir's Gomez Urrea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Porvenir from getting a goal against them. Camacho Molledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Porvenir supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chile's performance. The match ended with a win for Chile.
