Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Víktor Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 7th minute of play forced GeRaÇãO-83's goalkeeper Grzegorz Siekierski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Silas de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Víktor Cavalcante in the 22nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Víktor Cavalcante ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Víktor Cavalcante in the 27th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Víktor Cavalcante in the 30th minute. Víktor Cavalcante's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th match minute, GeRaÇãO-83 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas de Lima to maneuver through the defense. GeRaÇãO-83's Grzegorz Siekierski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jiang Xiang Sheng stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Jiang Xiang Sheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute Víktor Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. GeRaÇãO-83's Silas de Lima quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Salvador Gisbert, made in the 74th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jiang Xiang Sheng's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 80th minute. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Víktor Cavalcante kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. GeRaÇãO-83's Víktor Cavalcante got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jiang Xiang Sheng in the 94th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. GeRaÇãO-83 fully deserved thier win.
