Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita made the kick off and thus started the match. The AA GUARULHOS fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when AA GUARULHOS's Remigio Finlay looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Remigio Finlay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 18th minute. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlinhos Freitas having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Remigio Finlay kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 34th minute of play forced AA GUARULHOS's goalkeeper Carlinhos Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remigio Finlay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Juan Sebastián Puig threw the ball into play from the sideline. AA GUARULHOS's Nilton Ramalho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Remigio Finlay came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the AA GUARULHOS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remigio Finlay couldn't finish the play. Carlinhos Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Remigio Finlay made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of AA GUARULHOS's Carlinhos Freitas. Carlinhos Freitas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Ecuador booed when AA GUARULHOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Porfirio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the match, AA GUARULHOS's Remigio Finlay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, AA GUARULHOS's Carlinhos Freitas got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lance Cabezas, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. AA GUARULHOS's Carlinhos Freitas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save AA GUARULHOS from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd minute Remigio Finlay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, AA GUARULHOS's José Augusto Viana got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute, Owen Ramsden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Carlinhos Freitas made a huge save. The throw-in from Camilo Gisbert in the 87th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by AA GUARULHOS's Owen Ramsden. Lance Cabezas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Finlay, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
