Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 14th minute Christian Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Montevideo's Luisito Antequera fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Montevideo booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisito Antequera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Luisito Antequera in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice moves Luisito Antequera could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Olavo Matorin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bray McJon went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After 38 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Secada. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Luisito Antequera tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bray McJon in the 41st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldo Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Ronaldo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 57 minutes, Luisito Antequera made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71st minute, Joshua Secada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, Luisito Antequera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Bray McJon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Bray McJon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 85 minutes, Luisito Antequera made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 94th play minutes Luisito Antequera shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Montevideo had played much better football throughout.
