A sloppy throw-in by Endel Darmer in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Harsh Gods's Roberto Carlos. Paul-Louis Jannes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gersi Snabe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Weijnants, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Harsh Gods's goal looked a bit too open when Eddy Laporte came free, but Gersi Snabe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 61st minute Harsh Gods were awarded a corner. Roberto Carlos went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Roberto Carlos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but KFC Vliegplein's Teo De Jonge did a great save.
