Karl Arhenius started the match with the kick off. Keylor Navas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamed Salah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 11 minutes of play, Sundborn IF's Mohamed Salah made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Keylor Navas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Salvador Bernat hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Emil Duset showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Haritzeder in the 21st minute of the match. In the 27th minute Mohamed Salah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Karl Arhenius came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Sundborn IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Arhenius couldn't finish the play. A collision led to NECKER49 getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ernesto Jorrin hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Sundborn IF's Jan Bocklund got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leandro Haritzeder got free with Emil Duset in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leandro Haritzeder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leandro Haritzeder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Haritzeder in the 48th minute of play forced Sundborn IF's goalkeeper Emil Duset to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Leandro Haritzeder made the kick off in the second half. Keylor Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohamed Salah in the 53rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilfredo Ebardo in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emil Duset prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58thth minute of the game Leandro Haritzeder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sundborn IF's Emil Duset was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of NECKER49 booed when Sundborn IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Göransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Mohamed Salah fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mohamed Salah got free with Keylor Navas in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Keylor Navas made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Sebastian Göransson sent off a good shot on target. Teobaldo Gaztea lost his temper 90 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 90 minutes into the game, one of NECKER49:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sundborn IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
