After a defensive mix-up in Vancouver Reds's zone, Augusto Vieri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omar Duardo came out of the goal and Augusto Vieri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Vancouver Reds getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Pang Jun hit a great ball. Enrico Tassotti struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. The supporters of Gonzo Style f.c booed when Vancouver Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sima Marinković didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nicolás Castillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vancouver Reds played a much better game than Gonzo Style f.c and deserved their victory. The Gonzo Style f.c players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
