A hard shot 23 in the game by Gaspard Izquierdo from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haitz Langarica having to interfere. Gaspard Izquierdo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Gaspard Izquierdo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 33rd minute. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Haitz Langarica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 43rd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaspard Izquierdo went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaspard Izquierdo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Atletico Aragua FC's Gaspard Izquierdo got a free kick in the 55th minute. Joshua Secada was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. Venezuela's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 59 minutes into the game, Atletico Aragua FC's Lauro Acebal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 62 minutes into the match, Atletico Aragua FC's goalkeeper Haitz Langarica had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaspard Izquierdo's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Atletico Aragua FC made a substitution. Viviano Omente replaced Christiano Fano. After 71 minutes of play, Atletico Aragua FC's Arnold Collins made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute of the match Miguel Echavarria sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Atletico Aragua FC's Pedro Maldonado got a free kick in the 78th minute. After 79 played minutes, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Haitz Langarica came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Venezuela reached it. In the 79th match minute, Atletico Aragua FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnold Collins to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Maldonado hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Gaspard Izquierdo took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. If Gaspard Izquierdo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Atletico Aragua FC were the better team. Atletico Aragua FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
