Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Anton Bengtsson kicked off to start the match. Jonathan Ferrant was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Faustão Mineiro. Carlos Augusto Novaes lost his temper 14 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Academia Santista CIMZ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Academia Santista CIMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. A well done corner resulted in Jose Correa drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind Academia Santista CIMZ's goalkeeper. After having played for 21 minutes, Silvinho Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia Santista CIMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvinho Peixoto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Armando Barreto, made in the 35th minute of the game. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Gu Zhan Wei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 46th minute of play forced Academia Santista CIMZ's goalkeeper Gu Zhan Wei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvinho Peixoto hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Gu Zhan Wei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Academia Santista CIMZ's Gu Zhan Wei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 73rd minute of play. After 74 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. 77 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Gu Zhan Wei. Academia Santista CIMZ's Gu Zhan Wei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Academia Santista CIMZ from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Academia Santista CIMZ's Frank de Lara got a free kick in the 89th minute. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gu Zhan Wei having to interfere. With his leg Gu Zhan Wei managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Venezuela walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
