Claudio Mele was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A hard shot 6 in the game by Bairon Berger from a close distance when the talented Dante Lacasa managed to make a qualified save. Mexico's players were relieved. Claudio Mele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 9th minute of the match. Claudio Mele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo scored 0-2 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudio Mele, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Dalmacio Blai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudio Mele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lautaro Mancebo in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudio Mele saved CF Eleven Lions 2007 from getting behind. 30 minutes into the game, Bairon Berger recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Bairon Berger showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Claudio Mele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a defensive mix-up in CF Eleven Lions 2007's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Mele came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudio Mele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 43rd minute of play forced CF Eleven Lions 2007's goalkeeper Claudio Mele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudio Mele. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind CF Eleven Lions 2007's goalkeeper Claudio Mele, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. CF Eleven Lions 2007's Claudio Mele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 47th minute of play. After 47 minutes, Dalmacio Blai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CF Eleven Lions 2007 and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dalmacio Blai kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Mexico were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Joel Gaona hit a great ball. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Claudio Mele firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bairon Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Claudio Mele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 64th minute of play forced CF Eleven Lions 2007's goalkeeper Claudio Mele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CF Eleven Lions 2007's Claudio Mele proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save CF Eleven Lions 2007 from getting a goal against them. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Claudio Mele made a huge save. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bairon Berger's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 76th minute. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Claudio Mele quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 78 minutes into the match, CF Eleven Lions 2007's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Claudio Mele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kenji Kajø fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CF Eleven Lions 2007's protests and gave Kenji Kajø a yellow card for diving instead. 81 minutes into the game, one of CF Eleven Lions 2007:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Joel Gaona walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Mele having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Claudio Mele threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Claudio Mele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CF Eleven Lions 2007 throughout the match.
