Didi Fútbol Club's Sergio Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of play. Oscar Natos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Segio Galarza hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sergio Romero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Romero having to interfere. Mihăiţă Afloarei blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. In the 32nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sergio Romero. Didi Fútbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Sergio Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 41st minute of the match. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Romero having to interfere. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Didi Fútbol Club's Sergio Romero got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Didi Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Rodney Lecanda hit a great ball. Sergio Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 64 minutes into the match, Didi Fútbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Sergio Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. That made the score 1-3 after 72 minutes of play. 77 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Mihăiţă Afloarei came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gürsel Yalgın fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Didi Fútbol Club's protests and gave Gürsel Yalgın a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Didi Fútbol Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. 81 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Luis Andino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sergio Romero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Mihăiţă Afloarei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Natos in the 90th minute of play. The Didi Fútbol Club fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
