Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Patrick Fontenot kicked off to start the match. Milagros Cabal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrett Rosenberg having to interfere. Shawn Romero hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After 6 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Donovan Heath. In the 7th minute, Edmundo Espiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jarrett Rosenberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Jarrett Rosenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 9th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Patrick Fontenot notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Fontenot in the 18th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarrett Rosenberg came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Honduras's Sebastian Villa. But to his dismay, Sebastian Villa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Patrick Fontenot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st match minute, Cosmos Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Fontenot to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarrett Rosenberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 47 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Fontenot.

Ivan Navarro hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Cosmos Soccer Club's Robustiano Amor quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Christian Sancho, made in the 62nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Ivan Navarro got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 69 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Shawn Romero. Jarrett Rosenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 72nd minute of play. After 74 played minutes, Cosmos Soccer Club's Harvey Flynn shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cosmos Soccer Club reached it. 80 minutes into the game, Emanuel Ocampo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honduras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cosmos Soccer Club the free kick. In the 81st match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Ocampo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harvey Flynn in the 81st minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute Cosmos Soccer Club were awarded a corner. Harvey Flynn went to the cornerflag to take it. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg. Jarrett Rosenberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Honduras's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
