Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Ecuador booed when UD Fuerteventura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claris Quiroga didn't get a good kick on the ball. UD Fuerteventura's Lajos Révész played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of play. In the 9thth minute of the game Geovani Barral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 10th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lajos Révész saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, UD Fuerteventura's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Lajos Révész reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geovani Barral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute UD Fuerteventura were awarded a corner. Geovani Barral went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on UD Fuerteventura's corner Geovani Barral fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. UD Fuerteventura were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Geovani Barral took the corner. The corner led UD Fuerteventura's Geovani Barral to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lajos Révész saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovani Barral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Geovani Barral was slow to take the kick. During this time UD Fuerteventura's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Geovani Barral got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 42 minutes into the match, UD Fuerteventura's Geovani Barral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claris Quiroga was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Lajos Révész threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 58 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, UD Fuerteventura's Geovani Barral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. UD Fuerteventura's Geovani Barral got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lajos Révész having to interfere. In the 68th minute Geovani Barral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lajos Révész made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lajos Révész read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Basilio Quintero kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 76thth minute of the game Geovani Barral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovani Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. UD Fuerteventura's Ismael Munoz was substituted for Basilio Quintero. After a rather tough play, UD Fuerteventura's Arkadiusz Piatek got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 85 minutes, Geovani Barral made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Geovani Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Fuerteventura's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovani Barral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the game, Camilo Gisbert threw the ball into play from the sideline. UD Fuerteventura's Constancio Llinares quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani Barral in the 95th minute of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by UD Fuerteventura's Geovani Barral. But to his dismay, Geovani Barral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The UD Fuerteventura players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
