Madison's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave san isidro the free kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Álvaro Abraão to make the kick off. Gösta Kihlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Severiano Rafe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Madison's Mete Gol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mieszko Bierfass made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Madison walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
