Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Pedro Isidor made the kick off which started today's match. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Ruperto Quintan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Cieneguita AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cleiton Brasil. After a defensive mix-up in Cieneguita AFC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruperto Quintan came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Felix Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Ruperto Quintan. Cieneguita AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Cleiton Brasil received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Cleiton Brasil slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 25th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Olentzaro came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ruperto Quintan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Isidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Isidor in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 42nd minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Cieneguita AFC's Ruperto Quintan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the game, Felix Montes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cieneguita AFC the free kick. After 53 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. With a little luck, Cieneguita AFC's Ruperto Quintan got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Cieneguita AFC's goalkeeper Ruperto Quintan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Cristian Sancho was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Inocencio Bilbo's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inocencio Bilbo helped the player get up and apologised. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 73 played minutes Cieneguita AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Gamus. Ruperto Quintan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustín Saelices in the 74th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Cieneguita AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cieneguita AFC's goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cieneguita AFC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cieneguita AFC's goalkeeper Ruperto Quintan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Quintan having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ecuador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! Humberto Gomesano placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out!
