Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Genaro Oso, made in the 3rd minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Alijilán returns's Rolando Noboa threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Co Bayo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cipriano Tavio was slow to take the kick. During this time Alijilán returns's players had a chance to rest. Alijilán returns's Cyprian Sroki was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolando Noboa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 8th minute Alijilán returns were awarded a corner. Cipriano Tavio went to the cornerflag to take it. Efraim Gilabert hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Cipriano Tavio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rolando Noboa. Peru's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cyprian Sroki kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th match minute, Alijilán returns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adilson Rocha to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Peru's Luz Tejedor to fire away a dangerous shot which Victor Erauso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Co Bayo came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Erauso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Victor Erauso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Erauso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jairo Dalmai in the 31 minute of the game. Adilson Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Erauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Jairo Dalmai in the 38th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. When Cipriano Tavio fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alijilán returns's protests and gave Cipriano Tavio a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Alijilán returns got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Tavio. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Julian Murillo hit a great ball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adilson Rocha in the 46th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Cyprian Sroki reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rolando Noboa. The goal made the score 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cyprian Sroki made a kick off. In the 56th minute Adilson Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Erauso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 60th minute of play forced Alijilán returns's goalkeeper Victor Erauso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Erauso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victor Erauso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 70th minute of play. After having played for 72 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Luz Tejedor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Victor Erauso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Victor Erauso made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Julian Murillo in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Victor Erauso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. 94 minutes into the match, Rafael Gallo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Erauso. Alijilán returns's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael Gallo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
