Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mariano Lacasa started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 4th minute of play forced La Candela FC's goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute Martin Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruben Sánchez. Ruben Sánchez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mariano Lacasa scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruben Sánchez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 22nd minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Sánchez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubén-Darío Feldmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. A hard shot 28 in the game by Martin Palermo from a close distance when the talented Thiago Pliego managed to make a qualified save. Chile's players were relieved. Martin Palermo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Thiago Pliego when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Rubén-Darío Feldmann sent off a good shot on target. After 35 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Pozo. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Palermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubén-Darío Feldmann in the 40th minute of play. Ruben Sánchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Palermo in the 56th minute of the match. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. La Candela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Palermo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. La Candela FC's Ruben Sánchez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save La Candela FC from getting a goal against them. When Mariano Lacasa got free in front of the goal in the 88th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ruben Sánchez was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Ruben Sánchez made a huge save. Chile's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
