El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Inocencio Paez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severiano Jurdan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberdi de América walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
