Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Idalécio Carrasqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Frederico Macieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to SC Atabueira getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. In the 37th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Josué Campelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Josué Campelo's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Eiró during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jaime Eiró kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, SC Atabueira's Anton Manta got a free kick in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Campelo in the 53rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Idalécio Carrasqueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. SC Atabueira's Hugon Bryk managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillermo Mariano in the 59 minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josué Campelo in the 64th minute of play. Idalécio Carrasqueira made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. SC Atabueira's Hugon Bryk quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guillermo Mariano, made in the 79th minute of the game. Frederico Macieira's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frederico Macieira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd match minute, SC Atabueira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico Macieira to maneuver through the defense. When Tomas Illescas fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Tomas Illescas a yellow card for diving instead. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Josué Campelo struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Atabueira. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josué Campelo in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Josué Campelo scored 3-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Atabueira fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
