But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luca Zorita couldn't finish the play. Wang Jie Shi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 40th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, JENIZAROS NEGROS PUNTANOS's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Wang Jie Shi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Martin Martxelin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dante Lacasa. The goal made the score 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

JENIZAROS NEGROS PUNTANOS's Feliciano Etxekopar was substituted for Arturo Remicio. JENIZAROS NEGROS PUNTANOS's Eleuterio Frichoso was substituted for Edgardo Ticho. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wang Jie Shi having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wang Jie Shi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, JENIZAROS NEGROS PUNTANOS's Isidro Derwin got a free kick in the 85th minute. 89 minutes into the game, one of JENIZAROS NEGROS PUNTANOS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Mexico a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joel Gaona, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of JENIZAROS NEGROS PUNTANOS's Wang Jie Shi. 1-2. 95 minutes into the match, JENIZAROS NEGROS PUNTANOS's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Wang Jie Shi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than JENIZAROS NEGROS PUNTANOS throughout the match.
