Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosme Piorno having to interfere. After a rather tough play, TLAMET Y TLASAK 100PRE's Feliciano Laffitte got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Piorno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 18 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Constancio in the 21st minute of play. Everardo Benino succeeded in the game's 21st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. In the 28th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoro Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. Felipe Ros lost his temper 29 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. In the 40th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Piorno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cosme Piorno was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by TLAMET Y TLASAK 100PRE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Many of Panama's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Panama may have spent more time on the ball, but TLAMET Y TLASAK 100PRE were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
