Joel Marcones could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Wiliam Prado made a huge save. In the 8th minute of the match, Alexandru Stolojan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wiliam Prado was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. ᴍᴏᴛʜᴡɪɴɢ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aureliano Mundo in the 9th minute. The corner ended in Aureliano Mundo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Athletis PR's Wiliam Prado did a great save. In the 11th minute, Genílson Leme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Foster Brennan in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wiliam Prado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th minute, Marco de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Alexandru Stolojan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wiliam Prado. Athletis PR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandru Stolojan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Aureliano Mundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiliam Prado having to interfere. The supporters of ᴍᴏᴛʜᴡɪɴɢ booed when Athletis PR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvério Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvério Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Silvério Fernandez might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Grigore Dijmărescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvério Fernandez ran back to his position shaking his head. Wiliam Prado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Marcones, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério Fernandez in the 41st minute of play forced ᴍᴏᴛʜᴡɪɴɢ's goalkeeper Grigore Dijmărescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Wilson Zanette was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Athletis PR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ᴍᴏᴛʜᴡɪɴɢ the free kick. Wilson Zanette hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Wiliam Prado made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Foster Brennan sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Foster Brennan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Athletis PR's Wiliam Prado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 53 minutes, Foster Brennan made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Athletis PR's Wiliam Prado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Grigore Dijmărescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ᴍᴏᴛʜᴡɪɴɢ's Grigore Dijmărescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvério Fernandez in the 62nd minute of play. Wiliam Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Bernat in the 65th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Genílson Leme got free with Grigore Dijmărescu in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute of the match, Silvério Fernandez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Grigore Dijmărescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Athletis PR made a substitution. Luís Gustavo de Mendonça replaced Marco de Moraes. Joel Marcones succeeded in the game's 76th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. Alexandru Stolojan took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wiliam Prado. Wiliam Prado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. A collision led to Athletis PR getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Anísio Valladares hit a great ball. ᴍᴏᴛʜᴡɪɴɢ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
