After 12 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stacey Banning who took care of the corner kick. The corner led River tu grato nombre's Stacey Banning to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When River tu grato nombre's Porter Mansfield in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 19thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River tu grato nombre's Eulalio Francesco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eulalio Francesco having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Stacey Banning stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Stacey Banning tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Eulalio Francesco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stacey Banning. 33 minutes into the match, Stacey Banning dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as River tu grato nombre's Stacey Banning slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 2-0 after 38 minutes of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Eulalio Francesco in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stacey Banning in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stacey Banning in the 64th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montenegro in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eulalio Francesco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When River tu grato nombre's Stacey Banning in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stacey Banning was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When Stacey Banning came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the River tu grato nombre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stacey Banning couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, River tu grato nombre's Mihran Sarkisyan got a free kick in the 86th minute. After a defensive mix-up in River tu grato nombre's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eulalio Francesco came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when River tu grato nombre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Porter Mansfield didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to River tu grato nombre getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Porter Mansfield hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eulalio Francesco. River tu grato nombre's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The River tu grato nombre support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
