Edvaldo Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Luque in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Frenchville Sports Club's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Urtats came free, but Edvaldo Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Frenchville Sports Club getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Pompiliu Uncheşelu hit a great ball. Milton Casco hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. DirectorVisual.com's Mauro Iruinea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Starri Ööpik in the 21st minute of play. After 26 minutes of play, Frenchville Sports Club's Berke Rush made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauro Iruinea was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Frenchville Sports Club's Edvaldo Gaspar got control of the ball when Leopoldo Luque tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute of the match, Leopoldo Luque got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edvaldo Gaspar was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 34th minute Starri Ööpik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Iruinea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Frenchville Sports Club's goalkeeper Edvaldo Gaspar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Matías Kranevitter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Frenchville Sports Club's Barney Boylin got a free kick in the 41st minute. When Oscar Ruggeri fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DirectorVisual.com's protests and gave Oscar Ruggeri a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 played minutes DirectorVisual.com got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Ruggeri. The supporters of DirectorVisual.com booed when Frenchville Sports Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Csaba Baló didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Frenchville Sports Club were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leopoldo Luque stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leopoldo Luque hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Edvaldo Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Luque in the 55th minute of the match. DirectorVisual.com's Hernán Crespo was substituted for Leopoldo Luque. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Berke Rush in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauro Iruinea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Frenchville Sports Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Oscar Ruggeri was slow to take the kick. During this time DirectorVisual.com's players had a chance to rest. After 81 played minutes DirectorVisual.com got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Etxatxu. After having played for 83 minutes, Hernán Crespo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DirectorVisual.com's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernán Crespo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edvaldo Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Ruggeri in the 87th minute of the match. Edvaldo Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Urtats, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. A collision led to Frenchville Sports Club getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Burt Gruer hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the DirectorVisual.com players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
