When Alex Cambeiro fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Alex Cambeiro a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. After 13 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. A hard shot by Gugu Dante from long distance, 14 minutes into the match, got Marcos Cotilla's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Tomas Berganza might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiaguinho Mazza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Berganza ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiaguinho Mazza was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tadeu de Sousa got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiaguinho Mazza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Berganza went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ismael de Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Tiaguinho Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 25th minute of the match. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Panama's Alex Cambeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Cöpacabana FC's Jonathan Luz got a free kick in the 38th minute. Tiaguinho Mazza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Berganza went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The Cöpacabana FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Panama were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vítor Soares made a kick off. Cöpacabana FC's Tiaguinho Mazza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Cöpacabana FC from getting a goal against them. Panama's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abraham Alguacil in the 54th minute. The corner ended in Isidoro Sarmiento almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cöpacabana FC's Tiaguinho Mazza did a great save. Cöpacabana FC's Tiaguinho Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 57th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Tomas Berganza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Tiaguinho Mazza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cöpacabana FC's Tiaguinho Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Miralles in the 68th minute of play. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Tiaguinho Mazza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Cöpacabana FC defense, Abraham Alguacil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiaguinho Mazza. The Cöpacabana FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiaguinho Mazza should have stopped the shot. If Miguel Miralles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hortêncio Donato during the 89th minute. Tiaguinho Mazza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over Panama could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cöpacabana FC throughout the match.
