The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jaroslaw Niezgoda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. 1-0 became the score in the 6th minute when Jaroslaw Niezgoda elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 10th play minutes Justino Loramendi shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 12th minute, Justino Loramendi made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The audience was convinced that Jaroslaw Niezgoda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 19 minutes into the game, Compostela FSCMZ's Chicão Cerezo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Compostela FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mauro Paulista took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaroslaw Niezgoda in the 25th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Compostela FSCMZ were furious when Dragoş Ţiţeica was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 32 minutes into the game, one of Compostela FSCMZ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 42nd minute, Jaroslaw Niezgoda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Mina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Compostela FSCMZ the free kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 46th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Compostela FSCMZ's Mauro Paulista tried to score from far away in the 46th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.

The wind increased when Jaroslaw Niezgoda made the kick off in the second half. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaroslaw Niezgoda in the 71st minute of the match. Venezuela's attentive Jonathan Venegas managed to snatch the ball when Alex Ortiz made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 75th minute of play forced Compostela FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cesar Peyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Peyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Compostela FSCMZ's Boruc Poling was substituted for Chicão Cerezo. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Cesar Peyo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Compostela FSCMZ had won after a very even match.
