After 14 played minutes, KFC Vliegplein's Endel Darmer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KFC Vliegplein reached it. If Ferdinand Weijnants had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. Teo De Jonge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Teo De Jonge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferdinand Weijnants's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddy Laporte, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 50th match minute, KFC Vliegplein was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudi Vissenaeckens to maneuver through the defense. Joshua Secada hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The supporters of KFC Vliegplein booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Piet Van Bostraeten during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Eddy Laporte put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! In the 88th minute there was a penalty for KFC Vliegplein. Norberto Oskitz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. 4-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eddy Laporte in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match.
