Olavo Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olavo Linares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 5 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kauã Tróia. Olavo Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olavo Linares came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Olavo Linares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tales Dante charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tales Dante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tales Dante kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Olavo Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Joinville S.German-FSCMZ getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Dedê Gonçalves hit a great ball. Olavo Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 27th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Olavo Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo Linares having to interfere. Caco Lago hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Felix Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olavo Linares was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Olavo Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Joinville S.German-FSCMZ defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olavo Linares. The Joinville S.German-FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olavo Linares should have stopped the shot. Olavo Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 38th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olavo Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kauã Tróia. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Olavo Linares made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olavo Linares was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Olavo Linares in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the match, Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's goalkeeper Olavo Linares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauã Tróia in the 73rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Olavo Linares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tales Dante was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Tales Dante kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Olavo Linares. The goal made the score 0-5. In the 89th minute, Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luis Andino fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Olavo Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olavo Linares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score.
