In the 9th minute, Kauã Tróia made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kauã Tróia's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kauã Tróia in the 14th minute. Tales Dante was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Caco Lago kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Joinville S.German-FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Wiliam Vasconcelos fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's protests and gave Wiliam Vasconcelos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st match minute, Joinville S.German-FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiliam Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã Tróia in the 55th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauã Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olavo Linares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's goalkeeper Olavo Linares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olavo Linares came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedê Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The supporters of Joinville S.German-FSCMZ booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wiliam Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
