The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice moves Percival Simão could shoot a difficult shot in the 7th minute, which Evert Wennerquist however easily saved by the left post. Percival Simão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Evert Wennerquist made a huge save. Percival Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Evert Wennerquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucas Gudmundsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Téo Koehler having to interfere. The supporters of Oranil booed when VfL Wolfsburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Morgan Hedlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. VfL Wolfsburg's Evert Wennerquist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save VfL Wolfsburg from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Oranil getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Gildo Azevedo hit a great ball. Percival Simão had several of the VfL Wolfsburg's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Evert Wennerquist as he didn't even see the shot coming. Lucas Gudmundsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute, Oranil's Gonçalo Soeiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Evert Wennerquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Percival Simão in the 44th minute. Gonçalo Soeiro's late challenge caught a VfL Wolfsburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonçalo Soeiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Oranil's Gonçalo Soeiro got a free kick in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gonçalo Soeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Percival Simão took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evert Wennerquist. Evert Wennerquist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Jens-Ove Gustafsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Téo Koehler made a huge save. A collision led to VfL Wolfsburg getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Isac Dalberg hit a great ball. Gonçalo Soeiro struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Evert Wennerquist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oranil. Isac Dalberg hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, VfL Wolfsburg's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Soeiro came free, but Evert Wennerquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evert Wennerquist came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Oranil's Percival Simão. But to his dismay, Percival Simão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 75th minute Torsten Salqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Téo Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Téo Koehler successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to VfL Wolfsburg getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Boris Hägg hit a great ball. Oranil's Percival Simão got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Morgan Hedlund charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Morgan Hedlund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to VfL Wolfsburg getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Morgan Hedlund hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Soeiro in the 83rd minute of play forced VfL Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Evert Wennerquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of VfL Wolfsburg booed when Oranil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto de Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the VfL Wolfsburg players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Oranil.
