Beppe Savoia had great luck who in the 11thth minute grab hold of the ball when Eddy Laporte from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 12th minute of the match KFC Vliegplein got a corner. Carloforte f.c.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wesly Leenpoels ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Ercole Marra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Ercole Marra made a precise shot to the right of Mark Jansens. KFC Vliegplein's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With an all-out effort, KFC Vliegplein's Beppe Savoia threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eddy Laporte, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 24th minute Arturo De Vito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Jansens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dave Ottaviani kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. When KFC Vliegplein's Sylven Vereeken in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eddy Laporte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Ercole Marra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Jansens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dave Ottaviani hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 57 minutes of play, KFC Vliegplein's Sylven Vereeken made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Beppe Savoia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Beppe Savoia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddy Laporte in the 59th minute of the match. The Carloforte f.c. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beppe Savoia should have stopped the shot. 74 minutes into the game, Alex Federici was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carloforte f.c.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KFC Vliegplein the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddy Laporte in the 76th minute of play forced Carloforte f.c.'s goalkeeper Beppe Savoia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anthonio Netels in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beppe Savoia saved Carloforte f.c. from getting behind. After having played for 80 minutes, Wesly Leenpoels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Vliegplein's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wesly Leenpoels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Carloforte f.c. getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Alex Federici hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Franck De Vriendt notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Carloforte f.c.'s Beppe Savoia. Beppe Savoia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carloforte f.c.'s Beppe Savoia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy Laporte in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Anthonio Netels made a precise shot to the right of Beppe Savoia. Carloforte f.c.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. When the referee ended the match the KFC Vliegplein players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
