In the 21st match minute, Oranil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiko Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Artur Prohorov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juliusz J.J. in the 28th minute of the match. Edmílson Catarinense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Damian Oneț made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in The Sharks Constanta's zone, Sérgio das Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Oneț came out of the goal and Sérgio das Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Artur Prohorov's late challenge caught a Oranil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artur Prohorov helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd minute, Artur Prohorov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Catarinense in the 35th minute of play forced The Sharks Constanta's goalkeeper Damian Oneț to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 37th minute of the match Artur Prohorov completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Artur Prohorov a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 38th minute, Artur Prohorov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Horea Tomoioagă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Oranil getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Oranil's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vasile Peter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Sérgio das Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Kléber Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Oranil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kléber Saldanha couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute, Juliusz J.J. hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juliusz J.J. in the 61st minute of play. Juliusz J.J. who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Juan Velloso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 68 minutes into the match, Oranil's goalkeeper Juan Velloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vasile Peter. After 70 played minutes Oranil got a freekick which was hit by Moisés de Sousa. 76 minutes into the match, Juliusz J.J. notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Oranil's Juan Velloso. Juan Velloso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 79th minute, Oranil's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vasile Peter fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Leonard Bidulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Juan Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, The Sharks Constanta's Juliusz J.J. got a free kick in the 90th minute. 96 minutes into the match, The Sharks Constanta's goal looked a bit too open when Kléber Saldanha came free, but Damian Oneț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
