Olle Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attila Kádár, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Jerry Fristedt came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ulf Skoog could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Attila Kádár in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olle Tunander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Attila Kádár might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olle Tunander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Attila Kádár ran back to his position shaking his head. Olle Tunander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Attila Kádár in the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Alfons Delin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Skoog saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Stardust Unicorns XI getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Bengt-Rune Nord hit a great ball. In the 40th minute of the match, Alfons Delin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ulf Skoog saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alfons Delin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ulf Skoog tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The wind increased when Alfons Delin made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Attila Kádár in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olle Tunander saved VfL Wolfsburg from getting behind. After 64 minutes, Benny Bennis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stardust Unicorns XI and the VfL Wolfsburg players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stardust Unicorns XI's Rocky Thunderbolt got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. VfL Wolfsburg had won after a very even match.
