Yuri da Cunha made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Paulo Leão sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Febre Amarela's Umberto Britto got a free kick in the 7th minute. After 9 played minutes Febre Amarela got a freekick which was hit by Célio da Cunha. If Abel de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 10th minute Abel de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fernando Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel de Godoi in the 13th minute of play forced Febre Amarela's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel de Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luís Fernando Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel de Godoi in the 18th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Abel de Godoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Fernando Almeida. Febre Amarela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abel de Godoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Abel de Godoi came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Olivedos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel de Godoi couldn't finish the play. 30 minutes into the match, Febre Amarela's goal looked a bit too open when Abel de Godoi came free, but Luís Fernando Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Fernando Almeida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abel de Godoi went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Leão got free with Yuri da Cunha in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abel de Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Fernando Almeida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel de Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Olivedos's Yuri da Cunha got control of the ball when Alexsandro Cardoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abel de Godoi made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Olivedos's Ricardinho Vianna got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Abel de Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Fernando Almeida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel de Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. Luís Fernando Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel de Godoi in the 59th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Lenílson Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Abel de Godoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Fernando Almeida was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Febre Amarela's Luís Fernando Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel de Godoi in the 87th minute of play. In the 90thth minute of the game Paulo Leão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olivedos's Yuri da Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luisinho Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute of the match Célio da Cunha sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yuri da Cunha skillfully saved the ball. Luís Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Célio da Cunha, 94 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 95th match minute, Olivedos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magno Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. The Olivedos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
