ROSÁRIO SPORT's attentive Jorge Amaral managed to snatch the ball when Gaétan Govou made a throw-in in the 8th minute of the game. In the 8th minute, Gaétan Govou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Ralf Albäck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Corrêa. ROSÁRIO SPORT's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ralf Albäck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Deilmison van Basten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Corrêa having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Dionísio came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodriguinho Sousa came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by ROSÁRIO SPORT's Tony Dionísio. But to his dismay, Tony Dionísio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 29 minutes into the game, Tony Dionísio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Rodriguinho Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The ROSÁRIO SPORT fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when ROSÁRIO SPORT's Tony Dionísio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luiz Corrêa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 38th minute. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Dionísio in the 40th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deilmison van Basten got free with Luiz Corrêa in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute, Tony Dionísio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodriguinho Sousa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Erick Braun got free with Rodriguinho Sousa in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Albäck in the 59th minute of play forced ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper Luiz Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th match minute, ATHLETICO PRaiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Unax Mudarra to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Simão do Vale got a free kick in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandros Krieser came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of ATHLETICO PRaiano booed when ROSÁRIO SPORT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 88th minute of the match. ROSÁRIO SPORT's Luiz Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 90th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Sousa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 余斌亦. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ROSÁRIO SPORT had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
