An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel de Godoi in the 37th minute of play forced Romando Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romando Futebol Clube's attentive Joélson de Mendonça managed to snatch the ball when Agostinho Cosme made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game. The supporters of Olivedos booed when Romando Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdomiro de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abel de Godoi was the one to do the kick off. Abelardo Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niva Bellido in the 84th minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Niva Bellido notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense. Abelardo Maranhense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
