In the 20th minute Renato Augusto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Paulo Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Paulo Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lei Feng Yan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Qin Xiang Chuan was slow to take the kick. During this time Airborne FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Airborne FC's corner Qin Xiang Chuan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Esen Sanal quite easily take care of the ball. Pedro Paulo Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krisztián Véber, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a rather tough play, Airborne FC's Horia Lupu got a free kick in the 47th minute. Airborne FC made a substitution. Sven Lind replaced Danilo Principe. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Casimiro Jatsu made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Casimiro Jatsu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Caxias do Sul:s Esen Sanal showed great skill when he stopped Qin Xiang Chuan:s penalty. Qin Xiang Chuan took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esen Sanal. Esen Sanal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. The supporters of Airborne FC booed when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Augusto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Krisztián Véber who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Pedro Paulo Barreto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Casimiro Jatsu scored 6-3 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Esen Sanal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Airborne FC's Casimiro Jatsu got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th match minute, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Owsiak to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the game, Airborne FC's Casimiro Jatsu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Esen Sanal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-3. In the 98th match minute, Airborne FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ceyhan Peykan to maneuver through the defense. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
