Amauri Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Augusto in the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Tolgahan Onatkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esen Sanal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute of the match Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a corner. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcos Siqueira ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Israel Vidal got a free kick in the 10th minute. Amauri Félix made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Renato Augusto sent off a good shot on target. Amauri Félix came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Lei Feng Yan. But to his dismay, Lei Feng Yan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ove Malm in the 21st minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Esen Sanal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amauri Félix didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lei Feng Yan went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolgahan Onatkan in the 30th minute of play. Amauri Félix was a little too slow when Renato Augusto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 3-0. Renato Augusto was extremely unlucky when he, in the 36th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Lucio Siekkötter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Amauri Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tolgahan Onatkan in the 41st minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Esen Sanal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 minutes, Marcos Siqueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ and the S.E.R. Caxias do Sul players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th minute, Marcos Siqueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 minutes of play, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Lei Feng Yan made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amauri Félix was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save S.E.R. Caxias do Sul from getting a goal against them. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Esen Sanal made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Lenílson Gomes sent off a good shot on target. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
