Marcelinho Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lei Feng Yan in the 5th minute of the match. Válbson Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Roceira SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lei Feng Yan took the corner. Lucio Siekkötter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lei Feng Yan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcelinho Barral. Roceira SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Roceira SC's Michel Haaland got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Renato Augusto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Roceira SC defense, Lei Feng Yan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelinho Barral. The Roceira SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelinho Barral should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Roceira SC's Guto Jorge got a free kick in the 39th minute. Marcelinho Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lei Feng Yan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Renato Augusto to strike the kick off in the second half. When Renato Augusto came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato Augusto couldn't finish the play. Marcelinho Barral was a little too slow when Krisztián Véber got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 1-2. 60 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Ksawery Winnicki came free, but Esen Sanal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lei Feng Yans short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Marcelinho Barral to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lei Feng Yan made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 63rdth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Marcelinho Barral would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Roceira SC's Tobiasz Zbytniewski got a free kick in the 64th minute. Marcelinho Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Siekkötter in the 66th minute of play. Marcelinho Barral was a little too slow when Lei Feng Yan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 1-3. 74 minutes into the match, Roceira SC's goalkeeper Marcelinho Barral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lei Feng Yan. Lei Feng Yan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelinho Barral having to interfere. Marcelinho Barral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lei Feng Yan in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Hulk Speed ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Esen Sanal was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 84th minute, Valdo das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roceira SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Renato Augusto scored to the left of an out of position Marcelinho Barral, making the score, 2-4. Esen Sanal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hulk Speed in the 90th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Hulk Speed came free, but Esen Sanal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
