Deilmison van Basten started the match with the kick off. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolgahan Onatkan in the 9th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Marcos Siqueira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rodriguinho Sousa. That made the score 1-1 after 12 minutes of play. In the 16th minute Deilmison van Basten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amauri Félix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute Rio Verde F.C CIMZ were awarded a corner. Marcos Siqueira went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 25th minute, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Jens-Ove Malm ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rodriguinho Sousa. Rodriguinho Sousa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After 31 minutes of play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Denílson Magalhães made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amauri Félix was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thiago Neves in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodriguinho Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute of the game Di Yang Feng made a throw-in which Israel Vidal played forward. After having played for 38 minutes, Betão Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ATHLETICO PRaiano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betão Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten, in the 47th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for ATHLETICO PRaiano. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jens-Ove Malm made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deilmison van Basten got free with Amauri Félix in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that Betão Marquez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Amauri Félix quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 64 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Siqueira came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes in the game Di Yang Feng did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Israel Vidal. When Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Jens-Ove Malm in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalie prevented a goal. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tolgahan Onatkan in the 79th minute of play. ATHLETICO PRaiano made a substitution. Heitor Maldini replaced Betão Marquez. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ made a substitution. Birol Celilay replaced Lauro Arce. A throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game was made by Di Yang Feng with Israel Vidal as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 86 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Deilmison van Basten came free, but Amauri Félix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deilmison van Basten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Amauri Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amauri Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Vilhelm Skoog kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Marcos Siqueira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rodriguinho Sousa. ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
