After having played for 7 minutes, Sten Andrejević managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ROSÁRIO SPORT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sten Andrejević was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Febre Amarela defense, Sten Andrejević kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Fernando Almeida. The Febre Amarela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Fernando Almeida should have stopped the shot. A throw-in in the 13th minute of the game was made by Tomasino Quiroz with Alexsandro Cardoso as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 19th minute ROSÁRIO SPORT were awarded a corner. Dean Harvey went to the cornerflag to take it. A well done corner resulted in Sten Andrejević drilling the ball in to score 0-2 behind Febre Amarela's goalkeeper. Luís Fernando Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sten Andrejević, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lenílson Peres who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Luiz Corrêa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sten Andrejević in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Fernando Almeida saved Febre Amarela from getting behind. Febre Amarela's Luís Fernando Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Andrejević in the 30th minute of play. Dean Harvey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Fernando Almeida came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by ROSÁRIO SPORT's Sten Andrejević. But to his dismay, Sten Andrejević quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. If Sten Andrejević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luís Fernando Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sten Andrejević, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexsandro Cardoso got free with Luiz Corrêa in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lenílson Peres was the one to do the kick off. Sten Andrejević's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Fernando Almeida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. If Sten Andrejević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Febre Amarela's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sten Andrejević. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexsandro Cardoso in the 64th minute of play forced ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper Luiz Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Andrejević in the 67th minute of play forced Febre Amarela's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenílson Peres in the 68th minute of play forced ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper Luiz Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Febre Amarela's Tomasino Quiroz got a free kick in the 69th minute. When Sigvard Rosendal fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ROSÁRIO SPORT's protests and gave Sigvard Rosendal a yellow card for diving instead. ROSÁRIO SPORT's Moises Bieito was substituted for Bruno Félix. ROSÁRIO SPORT made a substitution. Ture Möllgren replaced Tony Dionísio. In the 74th minute, Sigvard Rosendal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute Paulo Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Alexsandro Cardoso managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sten Andrejević in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Fernando Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute, Ture Möllgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Paulo Leão came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Febre Amarela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Leão couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, 许笑冰 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sten Andrejević in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Fernando Almeida saved Febre Amarela from getting behind. In the 94th minute, Alexsandro Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Fernando Almeida acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 95th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Martin Bautista. In the 96th minute, Douglas Basso reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luís Fernando Almeida. The goal made the score 0-6. The ROSÁRIO SPORT supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ROSÁRIO SPORT would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
