Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tolgahan Onatkan in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abelardo Maranhense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abelardo Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Malm in the 23rd minute of the match. The Olivedos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abelardo Maranhense should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute, Lauro Arce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amauri Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 36th minute Jens-Ove Malm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Ove Malm came free, but Abelardo Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jens-Ove Malm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 45th minute of the match Marcos Siqueira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abelardo Maranhense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 46 minutes, Abel de Godoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olivedos and the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card.

Olivedos made a substitution. Rômulo Custódio replaced Osvaldinho Veiga. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jens-Ove Malm stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abelardo Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Ove Malm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Amauri Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Sampaio in the 56th minute of play. Olivedos were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luisinho Ceresso took the corner. Olivedos's Abel de Godoi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amauri Félix in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Abelardo Maranhense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jens-Ove Malm in the 60th minute. Abelardo Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Ove Malm, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Ferraz in the 64th minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Amauri Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Abel de Godoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Abelardo Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Malm in the 90th minute of the match. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Amauri Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel de Godoi in the 92nd minute of play. Lenílson Gomes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Abelardo Maranhense made a huge save. Abelardo Maranhense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lenílson Gomes's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
