After 22 played minutes, Zuberbühler FC's Saul Baumer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Genaro Asur came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zuberbühler FC reached it. Zuberbühler FC's Jacinto Loramendi quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bernardinho Linares, made in the 26th minute of the game. Napoleon Dziedelonis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Lawrence, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgilio Lawrence took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Napoleon Dziedelonis. Napoleon Dziedelonis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Marciano Min might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Genaro Asur. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marciano Min ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 43rd minute, Venancio Calisto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Napoleon Dziedelonis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Lawrence, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marciano Min who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Genaro Asur when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marciano Min to strike the kick off in the second half. Genaro Asur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saul Baumer, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute.
