An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 6th minute of play forced São Francisco FC86's goalkeeper Mauro Castilho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, São Francisco FC86's Fabrício Calçada got a free kick in the 10th minute. After a defensive mix-up in São Francisco FC86's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Castilho came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Pinheiro in the 16th minute of play. Mauro Castilho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Ronaldo Pinheiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Mauro Castilho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 27th minute of the match. If Ricardo Madeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Ronaldo Pinheiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Mauro Castilho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 35th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Pinheiro in the 37th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, São Francisco FC86's Fabrício Calçada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauro Castilho saved São Francisco FC86 from getting behind. Tomas Illescas in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mauro Castilho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, São Francisco FC86's Mauro Castilho got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of São Francisco FC86 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 90th minute Ronaldo Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 94 minutes, Ronaldo Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Francisco FC86's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Pinheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. São Francisco FC86 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
