The Villawalter City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Canal should have stopped the shot. Coronel Revuelta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 43rd minute of play forced Villawalter City's goalkeeper Antonio Canal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gomesano Cayuela fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villawalter City's protests and gave Gomesano Cayuela a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 played minutes Villawalter City got a freekick which was hit by Gomesano Cayuela. The supporters of Chile booed when Villawalter City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waclaw Rosiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orlando Casaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Villawalter City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chile were winning 0-3.

Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Antonio Canal made a huge save. A hard shot 58 in the game by Mariano Lacasa from a close distance when the talented Antonio Canal managed to make a qualified save. Villawalter City's players were relieved. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elian Benedicto in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. Mariano Lacasa had several of the Villawalter City's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 62 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Antonio Canal as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 66th minute Elian Benedicto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerardo Pozo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute of the match Elian Benedicto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Pliego skillfully saved the ball. In the 72nd minute, Mino Puig ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Mariano Lacasa came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Antonio Canal could save by the left post. After 77 minutes of play, Villawalter City's Mino Puig made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! Antonio Canal made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elian Benedicto in the 86th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antonio Canal having to make a save. In the 89th minute, Chile's Mariano Lacasa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Antonio Canal. Antonio Canal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-7. Alan Tamayo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elian Benedicto's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. Chile's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
