Matos Velhos's Vito de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 2nd minute of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Henrique Candal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Matos Velhos getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Henrique Candal hit a great ball. When Matos Velhos's Henrique Candal in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Henrique Candal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 40thth minute of the game Henrique Candal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 41 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vito de Godoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Henrique Candal tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Matos Velhos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Henrique Candal made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Matos Velhos getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jiang Qing Lin hit a great ball. 53 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Candal came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vito de Godoi came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Júlio Gentil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Júlio Gentil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vito de Godoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 66th minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matos Velhos made a substitution. Vito de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Júlio Gentil sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Lee Beckford ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 81stth minute of the game Júlio Gentil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Lee Beckford came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
