An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 4th minute of play forced Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's goalkeeper Valentin Bernal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Bernal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play forced Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's goalkeeper Valentin Bernal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Milko received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Igor Milko slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dagoberto Moraes in the 17th minute. In the 27th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 28 played minutes Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Brandon Norton. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Bernal having to interfere. Igor Milko in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Dagoberto Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Soin Buisan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Dagoberto Moraes got a free kick in the 44th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Milko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Igor Milko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Milko, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Igor Milko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Valentin Bernal made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Igor Milko in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Valentin Bernal in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
