To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hando Festini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When Jules Barrett came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Azzurri FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jules Barrett couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rosario Cardona in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Jules Barrett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Jules Barrett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 27th minute. The supporters of Azzurri FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Rosario Cardona could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stan Pitre went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 40th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Azzurri FC's Nelson Jodion was substituted for Wally Lécuyer. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Venezuela's Patricio Costa in the 52nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Hando Festini was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Azzurri FC through an amazing save. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thaddeus Ryan, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Azzurri FC's Bert Vincent. But to his dismay, Bert Vincent quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 72nd minute, Jules Barrett made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thaddeus Ryan, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, Azzurri FC's Carlos Tello got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 95th match minute, Azzurri FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Jodion to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Azzurri FC were the better team. Azzurri FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
