But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Noboa couldn't finish the play. Axel Tasis kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Joost Baatenburg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joost Baatenburg struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 四川炁. In the 36th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 许霆昂 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joost Baatenburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by 四川炁's Joost Baatenburg. But to his dismay, Joost Baatenburg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Efrain Moruga made in the 46th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Eliseo Noboa however managed to control. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Axel Tasis put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of 许霆昂. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joost Baatenburg in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, 庄沙坚 made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joost Baatenburg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2.
