If Fagildo Pamanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30th play minutes Bolo Bolaño shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of Consejo del Mate booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 48 played minutes, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Venezuela reached it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bolo Bolaño to make the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bolo Bolaño, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Consejo del Mate's Julio Kemen got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 56 minutes, Bolo Bolaño made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bolo Bolaño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fagildo Pamanes in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peyo Fonelleda in the 79th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bolo Bolaño's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Camilo Gaos lost his temper 92 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Štefan Hlavica charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Štefan Hlavica the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Consejo del Mate's Štefan Hlavica got a free kick in the 97th minute.
